THERE IS NO WRONG WAY TO COLLECT

Most collectors start small with something that strongly appeals to them. 

During the early phase we recommend keeping it simple and spending more time learning than buying.  

One of the best times someone can benefit from joining a coin club can be when they are just starting out or getting ready to expand into an area of collecting  that others might have some experience they can share to save you money, time, or frustration. 

The choices for collecting are endless. Some things folks collect include: 

• Rare and modern coins of all grades (From pocket change to very rare examples)

• Tokens and commemorative coins from around the U.S. and all over the world.

• Paper money (Modern to times long ago)

• Bullion rounds and bars of gold, silver, platinum, & copper 

Our monthly meetings include multiple educational items with handouts and picture presentations that help us learn. 

Our members have a great deal of knowledge amongst them and we love sharing what we have learned with other fellow collectors of similar interests. 

Our members benefit from shared knowledge and also from the assistance we can provide to one another in searching for items someone is seeking or helping one another find the best sources for a purchase at the best price and/or quality.  

If you are new to the hobby or you are branching out from one type of a coin to another you can benefit from the collective knowledge of our club membership. 

Those of us that have been in the hobby for a long time have all made a purchase mistake before. 

This old saying reminds us to do our research before buying, especially for a bigger purchase.

Collectors often start with US coins and paper money, but in collecting you can also learn about places and times in history far away.
